Tems’ ‘Born in the Wild’ album debuts on UK album charts

This marks the first time Tems has charted in the UK, and her album has also achieved the highest peak for a Nigerian female act on the chart. Released on June 7, Born in the Wild has been gaining momentum globally, with the album reaching #1 in 22 countries on Apple Music just two days after its release. The album’s success is testament to Tems’ international appeal and her ability to transcend borders with her unique sound.

The album features collaborations with notable artists such as Asake and J. Cole. Prior to its release, it garnered significant success with singles like Love Me JeJe and Me & U, which have reached high positions on various Billboard charts. The album’s title track and Love Me JeJe were also showcased on The Tonight Show in May.

Tems is set to embark on the Born in the Wild World Tour. The tour will take her to various parts of the world, including Europe, North America, Africa, and Asia. The tour, which begins on June 12, will feature special guests Naomi Sharon and Lekan.
