Tems announces title and release date for her new album

On April 15, 2024, Grammy Award-winning artist, Tems unveiled the title of her debut album through a captivating video announcement. Across all social media platforms, she graciously revealed the name of her much-anticipated album: Born in the Wild. The album will be released in May 2024.

Tems had told Billboard Magazine during her Women in Music award that her album was “a 1000% ready”. In addition, she also had an exclusive listening party for industry experts. Within the announcement video, viewers are treated to nostalgic glimpses of Lagos life, the birthplace of Tems. As scenes from her hometown unfold, her melodic voice is heard in the background, singing the title of her forthcoming album, Born in the Wild.

The video seamlessly transitioned between glimpses of a younger Tems and her present self, as her voice echoed the lyrics “I was born in the wilderness”.

During week one of Coachella, she announced that she had a surprise for fans in which she brought Wizkid and Justin Bieber to perform their track, Essence. This would mark their first live performance of the 2020 track. She also performed an unreleased song Love me Jeje from her upcoming album
