Controversial artist and media personality, Speed Darlington, has been released on bail following his arrest over defamation and cyberstalking charges filed by Grammy-winning musician Burna Boy. The legal action stemmed from a viral video where Speed Darlington questioned Burna Boy’s Grammy win, linking it to his association with embattled rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs. Darlington was arrested in Lagos and later transferred to Abuja, where he was detained. Human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju confirmed the release, praising those involved in securing his freedom.

Speed Darlington is known for his controversial social media presence, often making provocative comments about celebrities. His recent remarks about Burna Boy’s career reignited discussions on celebrity feuds in Nigeria’s entertainment industry.

Darlington’s arrest followed a public video in which he taunted Burna Boy’s Grammy achievement, claiming his affiliation with Diddy was questionable.
