Rude Boy’s Solo Journey: Challenges and Triumphs
Rude Boy opened up about his experiences as a solo artist, revealing the initial struggles and pressures of meeting fan expectations. He confessed that starting his solo career seven years ago was challenging, but he’s found comfort in performing his own music.
A Promise to Himself
On selecting songs to perform, Rude Boy said, “One thing I promise myself is that if I’m going to do whatever I want to do, I’m not going to perform any P-Square song.” He stressed that he feels more comfortable singing his own songs, although he sometimes drops snippets of P-Square songs.

Rude Boy addressed misconceptions surrounding P-Square and his family, stating that he won’t discuss his personal life due to the media’s sensationalism. He emphasized that domestic issues are universal and don’t require public explanation.

Rude Boy shared his philosophy on finding peace and moving forward, saying, “Allow things to heal; don’t force it.” He also discussed his appreciation for good music, distancing himself from trends and defining Afrobeat in his own words.
