Rema’s latest hit, “Baby (Is It A Crime),” has claimed the title of the most-streamed Nigerian song of 2025 on Spotify. Released three weeks ago, on February 7, 2024, the song has garnered an impressive 14.28 million streams, taking the top spot in a competitive field.

This track is a masterful blend of Afrobeat and smooth soul, sampling the iconic Sade classic “Is It A Crime” from her Promise album. The song’s release was highly anticipated, and it has certainly lived up to the hype, dominating the airwaves and Spotify charts alike. Rema’s unique sound continues to evolve, solidifying his place as one of Nigeria’s most prominent artists.

The song’s soaring success marks a high point in a year already promising big things for Nigerian music.
