Nigerian R&B sensation Tems continues to make history as her Grammy-winning single “Love Me JeJe” has been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), marking a significant milestone in her illustrious career. This achievement comes on the heels of her victory at the 67th Grammy Awards, where she clinched the Best African Music Performance award, becoming the first Nigerian artist to win in this category.
“Love Me JeJe,” a standout track from her debut album Born in the Wild, has captivated audiences worldwide with its fusion of contemporary R&B and Afrobeats, sampling Seyi Sodimu’s 1997 classic of the same name. The song’s success is a testament to Tems’ ability to blend nostalgia with modern sounds, resonating with a diverse global audience.
In addition to this accolade, Tems’ debut EP For Broken Ears has achieved Gold status, making her the first Nigerian female artist to have a project certified by the RIAA .
