L.A.X Release New Album ‘Nobody Like Zaza’

Nigerian artist L.A.X has released his fourth studio album, Nobody Like Zaza, further establishing his prominence in the Afrobeats scene. The 13-track project features collaborations with prominent artists such as Fireboy DML, Pheelz, Ajebo Hustlers, Niniola, Ayo Maff, Joeboy, and Young Jonn, each contributing their unique style to the album.

The album’s title, Nobody Like Zaza, references L.A.X’s alter ego, emphasizing themes of individuality and flair throughout the tracks. Musically, it offers a blend of dancefloor-ready hits and mid-tempo grooves, showcasing L.A.X’s versatility as a hitmaker and storyteller.

Earlier in his career, L.A.X released the 2022 album Zaza Vibes, which featured collaborations with artists like Simi, Tiwa Savage, Mr. Eazi, and Tekno. Tracks such as “Lose My Mind” and “Sade” highlighted his ability to fuse Afrobeats with other genres, creating a distinctive sound that resonated with audiences.

Leading up to the release of Nobody Like Zaza, L.A.X dropped “Lockdown” as the album’s lead single on February 20, 2025. He expressed excitement about the track, stating, “​The first single off the Nobody Like Zaza album drops this Thursday, February 20th, 2025! I’m about to take you on a crazy ride.

L.A.X’s consistent evolution as an artist is evident in his recent work. In an interview, he reflected on his journey, mentioning that before releasing Zaza Vibes, he considered quitting music. However, the positive reception to the album reignited his passion, leading to the creation of No Bad Vibes and further solidifying his status in the industry.

With Nobody Like Zaza, L.A.X continues to push boundaries within the Afrobeats genre, offering listeners a mix of infectious rhythms and meaningful collaborations that celebrate individuality and artistic growth.
