Artists owe it to their fans to live decent lives – Spyro

Afrobeats sensation Spyro has shared his opinion on if artists should lead decent lives.

In a recent interview with the Honest Bunch Podcast, Nigerian singer Spyro shared that he thinks that artists owe it to their fans to lead decent lives.

According to the man behind the hit record ‘Who’s Your Guy’, artists are public figures whose actions are being watched by their fans hence they owe it to their fans to be worthy examples.

Spyro shared how the late legendary Afrobeats musician Sound Sultan advised him on living an honest life instead of being solely motivated by financial gains. Spyro stated that while Sound Sultan has passed, the lessons he picked up from the legend have been valuable.

In the interview, Spyro stated that people should watch what they say as it’s capable of shaping their behaviour. The artist who prides himself as born again Christian referenced “Para dey body” the lines fromShallipopi’s ‘Elon Musk’ which he described as a line capable of influencing young people to resort to crime.

Spyro has previously stated that he intends to use his music in spreading the gospel and his recent interview is evidence of his commitment to showcasing himself as a Christian.
