Nigerian Afrobeats Star Seyi Vibez has officially surpassed 1 billion Spotify streams, marking a major achievement in his rapidly ascending career. This places him among Nigeria’s playback elite, including Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Asake, solidifying his position in the global Afrobeats conversation.

Since bursting onto the scene with his breakout hit “Chance” in 2022, Seyi Vibez has released seven solo projects and one compilation album in just three years, sustaining constant momentum. This volume has played a major part in boosting his streams along with a series of successful collaborations, including the hit single ‘Gwagwalada’ with BNXN and ‘Bad Vibes’ with Ayra Starr, which have surpassed 78 million and 52 million Spotify streams, respectively.

Notably, his Children of Africa EP amassed 8.66 million Spotify streams in its first week in Nigeria, breaking the record for the most-streamed EP launch in the country.

2025 has already been eventful Seyi Vibez. His Children of Africa EP dropped this February and featured hits like “Shaolin” and “Pressure”, the latter marking a breakthrough with full-English delivery, a first for him. Fans are now eagerly awaiting a full-length album teased on social media.

Seyi Vibez’s entry into the 1 billion Spotify streams club isn’t just a personal landmark, it’s a milestone for Nigerian street-pop. Through prolific creativity, viral hits, and streaming dominance, he’s solidified his status as a music powerhouse. And with more music on the horizon, his trajectory only points upward.
