Runtown Reschedules ‘Soundgod Fest IV’ Release to June 27

Nigerian Afrobeats sensation Runtown has announced a new release date for his highly anticipated album, Soundgod Fest IV. Originally slated for June 13, 2025, the album will now drop on June 27, 2025, as confirmed by the artist on his Instagram page. He stated;

“Moved the drop to the 27th of June to make sure it’s absolutely fire for you guys! Meanwhile, hit the presave link in bio  #SoundgodFestIV.”

Soundgod Fest IV marks the fourth installment in Runtown’s acclaimed Soundgod Fest series and his first full-length project since 2022’s Signs. The album is expected to feature a blend of Afrobeats, reggae, and dancehall influences, continuing Runtown’s tradition of genre fusion. While the full tracklist remains under wraps, fans can anticipate collaborations that reflect his pan-African musical vision.

In the lead-up to the album, Runtown released two singles, ‘Flow’ in December 2024 and ‘Do Me’ in April 2025. ‘Do me’ achieved significant success, peaking at No. 20 on the Apple Music Nigeria Top Songs Chart and marking Runtown’s most substantial debut on Spotify Nigeria with 112,000 units sold.

Runtown first gained media attention with his 2014 hit “Gallardo” featuring Davido. His 2016 single “Mad Over You” further solidified his place in the Afrobeats scene. Known for his blend of Afrobeats, hip-hop, R&B, and reggae, Runtown has consistently delivered music that resonates with a global audience.
