Nigerian hip‑hop luminary Reminisce has officially announced that his eighth album, whose title remains unannounced will drop in September 2025, marking another milestone in a career that’s already crafted five studio albums and two EPs
The veteran rapper shared the news on July 30, 2025 via his social media, confirming the release month. This release follows his 2024 EP “Sui Generis”, which featured notable guests like Vector, BadBoy Timz, and Bhadboi OML .
Reminisce first made waves with powerful street rap delivered in both English and Yoruba earning him the title Alaga Ibile (“local chairman”) and critical attention for his storytelling and lyrical precision. His notable discography so far includes acclaimed projects such as My Book of Rap Stories, Alaga Ibile, Baba Hafusa, El-Hadj, and the more recent ATSG Vol. 1 and Vibes & Insha Allah EP.
Baba Hafusa debuted at #12 on the Billboard World Albums chart, making Reminisce the first African rapper to reach that spot. His follow-up album El-Hadj also charted internationally at #13, cementing his status as a global hip‑hop artist.
With a career built on blending Afrobeats, rap, fuji, and street narratives, many expect this eighth album to push creative boundaries even further. It may explore deeper themes and introduce fresh guest features while maintaining the trademark grit fans love. Reminisce is likely to roll out strategic singles, visuals, and possibly collaborations that shape the storyline of the new project ahead of its release.
As September approaches, Reminisce gears up to add another chapter to his storied career. With a legacy built on lyrical gravity and innovation, his upcoming album is poised to be more than just a drop, it could be a cultural moment in Nigerian rap history. Fans and critics alike will be watching closely as the full title, tracklist, and soundscape unfold in coming weeks.
