Nigerian singer Brown Joel has addressed the misconception that he, along with Hyce and BoyPee, are a musical group dubbed the “Ogechi Boys.” In a candid interview on Trending with Hip TV, Brown Joel emphasized that they are independent artists with no formal group affiliation.

The confusion stems from their collaboration on “Ogechi,” which gained significant traction on TikTok and led to a remix featuring Afrobeats superstar Davido. The track’s popularity, coupled with their joint appearances, has led fans to associate them as a collective.

However, Brown Joel has now clarified that while they share a strong friendship and have collaborated musically, each artist is pursuing their individual career paths. He stated, “We’re not a group. We’re friends and individual artists. There’s no contract binding us as a crew” .,

Brown Joel’s statement underscores the importance of recognizing artists for their solo endeavors, even amidst successful collaborations.
