Nigerian Afropop sensation Adekunle Gold is set to make history by becoming the first Nigerian artist to headline the prestigious EFG London Jazz Festival. Scheduled for November 23, 2025, at the Royal Festival Hall, Southbank Centre, Gold will perform alongside the Guildhall Session Orchestra, a dynamic ensemble of talented alumni from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
The EFG London Jazz Festival, renowned for its celebration of jazz and contemporary music, provides a platform for artists to showcase their talents to an international audience.
Adekunle Gold gained widespread attention with his debut single “Sade” in 2015. Since then, he has released five studio albums, including Gold, About 30, Afro Pop Vol. 1, Catch Me If You Can, and Tequila Ever After. His music seamlessly blends Afrobeat, highlife, and contemporary pop, earning him a dedicated fanbase both in Nigeria and internationally.
Gold’s sold-out concert at London’s Indigo O2 in 2024, dubbed “The About 30 Concert,” was a testament to his growing popularity. The performance featured traditional African elements, including Yoruba chants and drumming, highlighting Gold’s commitment to celebrating his heritage through music.
